About this card
A Japanese holo Giovanni's Persian from Gym 2, the second Japanese Gym expansion, known in Japan as Challenge from the Darkness. The card is listed as #53 and dates from 1999.
The Gym sets introduced owner's Pokemon, cards tied to a specific Gym Leader. Giovanni, the Viridian City Gym Leader and boss of Team Rocket, received his own line-up in Gym 2, and the cards from this set were later released in English as Gym Challenge. Persian, the Classy Cat Pokemon, was a fitting choice for him, as it is the Pokemon most closely associated with the character.
Graded PSA 10 Gem Mint, PSA's highest grade.
